SRWare Iron: The browser of the future - based on the free Sourcecode "Chromium" - without any problems at privacy and security
Google's Web browser Chrome thrilled with an extremely fast site rendering, a sleek design and innovative features. But it also gets critic from data protection specialists , for reasons such as creating a unique user ID or the submission of entries to Google to generate suggestions. SRWare Iron is a real alternative. The browser is based on the Chromium-source and offers the same features as Chrome - but without the critical points that the privacy concern.
The current beta of Google Chrome uses as an old version (525.13) of the rendering engine WebKit, so the Useragent-string says. We use in Iron obviously the latest version of WebKit (525.19)*, which, for example, Apple's Safari browser currently uses

Shiira for MAC
Shiira is a web browser based on Web Kit and written in Cocoa. Shiira is the Japanese name for the common dolphin. The browser uses Apple's WebKit, allowing the Web pages just like Safari or Google Chrome are presented. Unlike Apple's own browser, Shiira is under an open-source license, namely the BSD license. Exciting is that the bookmarks from Safari and Firefox browsers, even without import are directly viewable. Another feature: At the push of a button saves Shiira no more cookies and adds the browser history no further entries.
